AKC Community Canine (CGCA) 
This intermediate-level class focuses on solidifying your dog’s obedience and good manners in community settings. Training scenarios mimic everyday situations like walking through a crowd, calmly greeting strangers, or staying focused with distractions. Upon successful completion, dogs are eligible to earn the **AKC Community Canine (CGCA) title.

Skills include:

  • Walking politely through a crowd  

  • Sit/stay and down/stay in public  

  • Accepting attention from strangers  

  • Controlled entry/exit through doorways  

  • Calm behavior around other dogs and distractions

AKC Urban Canine Good Citizen (CGCU)

For dogs ready to thrive in city life, this class is the advanced level of the CGC program. It emphasizes navigating busy urban environments—like streets, elevators, public buildings, and outdoor cafes—with confidence and control. Dogs who pass the Urban CGC test can earn the CGCU title from the AKC.

Skills include:

  • Navigating stairs, elevators, and city sidewalks  

  • Settling under a table at a café or restaurant  

  • Ignoring distractions like traffic, joggers, and strollers  

  • Crossing streets safely with a handler  

  • Public transportation manners (where permitted)
