What You & Your Puppy Will Learn
Sit. The all-star command and a great choice for a default behavior to instill in your puppy.
Down. Another classic that comes in handy in many different situations.
Loose-leash walking. Start your puppy off right and you’ll never be dragged down the street.
Come when called. The secret to a bulletproof recall? Practice, practice, practice.
Leave it. An essential command for curious pups that want to investigate everything.
Socialization. Early, positive interactions with many people, places, and other puppies shape your puppy to grow up confident and friendly.

What To Know
Puppy age: 10–20 weeks at class start. (Is your puppy older? Check out our Focused Puppy Class.)
Puppy vaccinations: Must have had first set and a negative fecal sample at least 7 days before the first class.
Duration: 6 x 1-hour sessions.
Cost: $135
When to register: Anytime. Open Enrollment allows for ongoing class registration.

Focused Puppy Training

A class for teenage puppies—and the next step for Puppy Kindergarten graduates. Big puppies want to explore everything: A pizza box on the street. Other dogs. Birds and toddlers. They’re too busy to come when called and tend to forget their manners. With patient training and ongoing socialization, it doesn’t have to be that way.

This class helps you ease your big puppy into well-behaved adulthood.

What To Know
Puppy age: 20+ weeks.

What You & Your Puppy Will Learn
Attention span exercises. Learn about impulse control and the 3 Ds: Distance, distraction, and duration.
Polite puppy at home. Establish good manners during mealtime, when you have company, and when the doorbell rings.
Good adolescent manners. Go to your bed, stay, come when called despite distractions, loose-leash walking, and more.
Safe handling. Build good behavior patterns for vet visits, trips to the groomer, etc.
Problem prevention. Avoid common adolescent dog behavior pitfalls.
